**EMAIL BULLETIN - January 19, 2010** To: KFT Membership From: Election Committee Subject: Kean Federation of Teachers Election Notice Date: Tuesday, January 19, 2010 Nominations to elected KFT offices will be made at the KFT General Membership Meeting on February 4, 2010 at 3:15 p.m. in Hennings Hall – 113. Petitions will be available beginning January 20, 2010 at the KFT office (Hutchinson Hall, room 201G) for the Kean Federation of Teachers offices of: President; Vice President (3 positions); Secretary; Treasurer; At-large Members (8 positions). Completed petitions must contain 10 signatures of full dues paying active members and must be signed by the nominee. Petitions may be returned to the KFT office by February 4, 2010 or be presented at the KFT General Membership Meeting on February 4, 2010 beginning at 3:15 pm. Ballots without write-ins will be prepared and mailed to the residence of each eligible member in good standing within 10 days following the nomination meeting by an outside agency. Ballots shall be returned to the agency no later than twenty 20 days from the date they are sent to members. Election results will be made known to the general membership within 7 days of receiving the results. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Election Committee members are Ellen Comerford (Chairperson), Chrysoula Fantaousakis and Michael Desiano. Note: In order to participate in balloting, active membership of record for at least one month prior to the notice of the ballot is required.
